2008 PRE GELDING FABULOSO RC FOR SALE $11,000.

After 5 fillies, our broodmare and dressage horse, Jabalina D, gave birth to a colt (Saltador ORO x Jabalina D) on April 3, 2008. Fabuloso RC is full brother to Ganador RC. Fabuloso is now a gelding but continues to amaze us with his balanced, forward, fluid movement with suspension, the kind of gaits that score high in dressage. Why not-both sire and dam are Best Movement winners. Fabuloso has an easy, tractable personality with soulful, loving eyes. Again-why should we be surprised since both sire and dam are friendly, willing, and have great rideability. Fabuloso RC shows impressive potential even at this young age. Although born chestnut, he is now rose grey and will finish silvery grey at 16hh plus. He has a strong topline, naturally arched neck, great shoulder and pasturn angles, good bone with large knees and hocks. Fabuloso RC has ANCCE Carta (registered in Spain as Pura Raza Espanola) and IALHA Registration in hand. Check out his videos on the Video page. Photos on Horses for Sale page. Email us for newer photos. With consideration for the present economy, Fabuloso RC is offered for sale for $11k.

2009 PRE COLT GANADOR RC FOR SALE $11,000.

Jabalina D walked up to me when I went out in the pasture to check on her. With a loving look in her eye, she said, "I'm glad you're here". Then she turned away, found a suitable spot in the grass, and at 10:05 AM April 22, 2009 Ganador RC was born. This colt by Saltador ORO (16hh) showed personality plus right from day one: confident, friendly, and unafraid. He sticks his head into water from the hose and plays keep away with the dog! Trailers, ties, leads, stands for farrier. His championship bloodlines include Spanish Military (Leviton, Evento), Guardiola (Indiano XVIII, Centella V) and Terry. Sire, Saltador ORO, has won over 50 Championships and Best Movement awards as well as USEF Regional Horse of the Year several times! Dam, Jabalina D (15.3hh), won Res Champion Spanish Senior Mare and Best Movement Medal, and dressage championships. She won USDF All Breed Award for First Level. All this while having 7 foals. Ganador RC should finish 16hh. He is already a show-off and is showing the athletic movement to back it up! IALHA registration and ANCCE Carta in hand (registered in Spanish studbook). This colt is talented and very baroque! Suitable for show horse and/or breeding stallion. See his videos on the Videos Page. Photos on Horses for Sale page. With consideration for the present economy, Ganador RC is offered for sale for $11,000.

WE'VE GONE BITLESS!

We are now riding all our horses without a bit, using Dr Cook's Crossunder Bitless Bridle, and the horses are LOVING IT! Every horse is so much more comfortable and calm without a bit in the mouth. As a result they have more forward energy and are more responsive to leg and seat aids. Dressage training is easier and trail riding is more fun. Unfortunately the USDF has not approved bitless bridles as show legal although the Netherlands has approved Dr Cook's Bitless Bridle. Dr Cook continues to try to convince the USDF of the benefits of his bridle. You can access a lot of information on his website including an article I wrote about the experiences with my horses at www.bitlessbridle.com. I've tried going back to snaffles so we could show, but the horses were not happy about that. So we won't be showing til bitless is show legal. That's OK, we're having a great time together riding bitless.

The judges gave especially high praise to the music and choreography. You can see a video of his freestyles on the Video page. Fun trail riding is next on his schedule to reward his hard work.

Our lovely broodmare, Jabalina D, won First Level Open (Fifth) USDF All Breeds Award in dressage. She was Reserve Champion First Level Open for USEF recognized shows at the Dallas Dressage Club 2006 Year-End Awards. Jabalina took First Level Champion at the Dallas Dressage Club "Lemonade Daze Show" in July and placed in the Top Five at the IALHA National Show in October in both Training Level Open and First Level Open. Jabalina's full brother, Marchoso D, earned the USDF Rider Performance Award in First Level for Adult Amateur rider, Sharon Small. MARCHOSO D RECEIVES CHAMPIONSHIP AWARDS

Rancho Chico's gelding, Marchoso D, was honored at the Dallas Dressage Club Awards Banquet in January 2006. Marchoso, who is full brother to our broodmare, Jabalina D, took the 2005 Championship Awards for First Level Adult Amateur in both recognized shows and schooling shows ridden by Sharon Small. Way to go, Marchoso!

JABALINA D RETURNS TO DRESSAGE ARENA

Our broodmare, Jabalina, is taking a year off from motherhood to resume her dressage training to regain her muscle and stamina while at the same time developing her dressage talents and having fun. At Rancho Chico we believe continued training for broodmares is important to maintain the physical condition and mental balance to produce outstanding offspring. Jabalina is enjoying the work-and the attention!

DESTINATION: SAN DIEGO

Destina RC moved to the beautiful hills east of San Diego, CA to join her new owners and friends, Cathy and Charles Johnson. Cathy reported upon arrival the Bob Hubbard Transport driver said, "You sure got a beautiful little thing in this trailer. You are one lucky person!" Cathy is of Portuguese descent, but she prefers the Pure Spanish Horse. She researched bloodlines thoroughly and reviewed countless sales videos, she said, before choosing Destina. "I believe Destina RC is truly destined to be something very special. Destina is surely a beautiful filly." We totally agree. Congratulations, Cathy and Charles!
